This self-portrait blurs the line between myself and nature. In the Bosch painting, I will put this in the mountains which will naturally make the portrait blend into the landscape. Even though the mountains are void of human life, they present a serene environment that seems suitable for life to occur in the future, unlike the barren landscape of hell. The background with the cabin represents how people sit and watch the world go to hell from a faraway location but don’t actually do anything about it. It is the complacency of a bystander and how involved we should be in the upcoming apocalypse.
